“Bolsterstone’s regeneration projects are moving forward at pace in 2020, with construction either already underway or due to begin this year,” says Peter Swallow, Managing Director of Bolsterstone Group Plc

The company, that is behind the £340 million Chesterfield Waterside regeneration scheme, has a number of development projects across the UK and is making significant progress with them all.

The ambitious £150 million New Bolton Woods scheme, based in Bradford, has taken another step forward after practical completion has now been reached for a new 1,700 sq m Aldi food store within the heart of the development.

The new food store has created around 40 jobs, serving residents within the local area, including those that will occupy the nearly 1,000 homes which are currently being built at the urban village. Delivering high-quality homes and building new communities in partnership with local councils, is a key part of Bolsterstone’s regeneration strategy.

Peter Swallow added: “We’re delighted with the progress we’ve been able to make at all of our developments across the UK and completion on the Aldi store this is a great step forward for New Bolton Woods. For us, it’s all about creating new communities where people can live, work and enjoy leisure time. That’s what we’re trying to achieve at Chesterfield Waterside, New Bolton Woods, West Bar Square and all our other developments.

“All our projects represent long held visions by the company to positively transform communities and local economies and create spaces in which people will want to live, work and enjoy their leisure time.”

Based in Dunston, Chesterfield, Bolsterstone Groups’ property investment portfolio stands at around £800 million and includes some of the UK’s largest regeneration sites – Chesterfield Waterside, West Bar Square in Sheffield, New Bolton Woods and also Moneystone Park in Staffordshire.

The latest Chesterfield Waterside update came in recent months, when it was announced that homes at the Waterside Quarter neighbourhood, which are being built by Avant Homes, were officially on sale.

As well as houses, Chesterfield Waterside when complete will boast apartments, offices, retail units, a hotel and multi-storey car park. Waterside aims to act as an extension of Chesterfield’s town centre.
