One Waterside Place, set to become one of Chesterfield’s most desirable business addresses, is looking forward to welcoming its first tenants, chartered accountancy firm, BHP, later on this year. 

BHP Chartered Accountants announced its plans on 10 May 2021 to make the move to new offices at the prestigious Chesterfield Waterside development, one of the UK’s largest regeneration schemes. 

Yorkshire and North Derbyshire’s leading accountancy firm will take one floor in the seven-storey building, relocating from its current site on Saltergate in Chesterfield town centre to Basin Square. The move to One Waterside Place willallow for the expansion of the BHP team as they actively recruit in a number of roles. 

BHP’s Joint Managing Partner, Lisa Leighton, said: “Despite the wider economic uncertainty of the past year, our team has continued to grow, and Chesterfield has always been an important location for us. 

“Waterside is a fantastic regeneration project and offers us a really exciting opportunity to provide first class office facilities for our team and also get behind transformational investment in the area.” 

Once complete, the ‘Grade A’ offices at One Waterside Place will boast LED lighting, two passenger lifts, high quality entrance foyer, Showers, 2.75m floor to ceiling heights, air conditioning and cycle parking facilities on-site. 

The construction of the seven storey Grade ‘A’ office building One Waterside Place, was brought forward last year following the securing of funding from Chesterfield Borough Council. The steel frame is now complete, and the building will be made watertight and undergo an internal fit-out before BHP and other tenants move in later this year.

Construction of the seven-storey office block by our Main Contractors, Britcon Construction, continues apace, and we are very pleased with the progress being made on site. 

“We are also in talks with a number of other potential occupiers who are interested in taking space in what will be a high quality working environment and are confident that as more companies return to the physical workplace we will be able to announce further tenants at One Waterside Place.” 

One Waterside Place is part of a wider business and residential offering built across 16 hectares on the edge of Chesterfield town centre.
